the dockable taskbar

Where is the Dockable Taskbar

Windows has had a dockable Taskbar for a while now. You could leave the Start Menu, Programs list at the bottom, move the Explorer Address bar to the top and have a New Toolbar pointing to a Data Folder - showing a list of documents etc. down the side of a large widescreen. Greatly improved usability of the interface. With two screens you could have 2 (or more) address bars e.g. one at the top of each screen.
Where has this dockability gone in Vista?
- is there alternative functionality to achieve these functions -> direct web address access, desktop list of specified folders in customizable locations.

Don't think it's available now - I certainly can't do this on any of my machines.

What about DeskBands? Are they still running on Vista? I've implementet a DeskBand on Xp and it runs fine. I don't have Vista to test this.

Could you make a print screen of this and post it to image shack? Right click the Taskbar > Toolbar and you will see various options for adding clutter to your Taskbar. -- -- Andre Windows Connected | http://www.windowsconnected.com Extended64 | http://www.extended64.com Blog | http://www.extended64.com/blogs/andre http://spaces.msn.com/members/adacosta

He's asking about the ability to drag that clutter to other edges of the screen, which appears to be gone in Vista beta 2.
